Anyone buying from a shop can listen to the guitar and judge its action to see if it is right for them.
Anyone ordering a bespoke guitar from a maker has to take some things on trust. This applies whether you go to the maker's workshop or buy over the web.
The most important thing is sound. If you haven't already played, or heard one of my guitars I suggest you listen to the recordings on this site.
Also I can give you the email addresses of people who play my guitars and you can ask them their opinion.
